The social media platform X, which was formerly known as Twitter, has officially finalized a very disturbing policy. Last month, X announced it was finalizing a policy that has long been an unstated practice on the platform of allowing pornographic content.
X will officially allow adult content that is consensual, which will include nudity and sex, to be uploaded and accessible on the platform. A wide variety of pornographic images will be allowed on X, which include acts that occur between actual humans, depictions of cartoons, anime, and more.
X stated, “We believe in the autonomy of adults to engage with and create content that reflects their own beliefs, desires, and experiences, including those related to sexuality. We balance this freedom by restricting exposure to Adult Content for children or adult users who choose not to see it.”
Pornography has been and continues to be a very big problem in the United States, and it is a large part of why our nation is experiencing serious moral erosion. The destruction that accompanies pornography cannot be overstated. Pornography harms individuals spiritually, physiologically, relationally, and in many other ways as well. While X obviously believes that this policy will help with an uptick in users, the reality is this new policy only adds to the erosion that is happening to the morality of our nation.

Father, we pray that X will reverse this very dangerous policy. Lord, protect Your people from the dangers of pornography. Help us, Lord, to be clean and holy vessels for Your use in this world. Please protect the purity of children, the holy bond of marriage, and families from the wickedness of pornography. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
