Nick Spencer serves as the Director of Policy for The Family Foundation, a nonprofit organization that stands for Kentucky families and the biblical values that make them strong by advocating for God-honoring public policy in the Commonwealth.
Nick works to educate and advocate for biblically grounded public policy and has a heart for the gospel and for helping others understand how biblical values play an important part in the law-making process.
Following completion of his B.A. and Master of Divinity degrees, he held the role of Associate Pastor at Southern Baptist churches in Missouri and Ohio. Before joining The Family Foundation, he worked for First Liberty Institute in Washington, DC. He is also a Ph.D. candidate in Christian Ethics and Public Theology at Southern Seminary where his research focuses on the role of the family in the Church’s political and cultural engagement.
He was born and raised in Florida before moving to Louisville in 2015 to pursue degrees from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is an avid sports fan, enjoys reading and spending time outdoors, and loves a good key lime pie. Nick and his wife have one child and reside in Lexington.
