Parents, not the government, have authority over and responsibility for their children. At least they should, but Kentucky’s current parental rights protections are woefully inadequate, existing statutory language has serious shortcomings, and some of Kentucky’s public schools are actively infringing parental rights by pushing harmful agendas. That’s why the Parental Rights Protection Act, HB 177, is so important.
